Meet the team
Sabrina Hunt - British Accents Coach and Founder
Hi, I’m Sabrina, and I have been teaching English in various forms for over 18 years, and I am a Master’s degree qualified teacher with a PGDip. I also co-run and present on the popular YouTube channel ‘Love English with Leila and Sabrah’ which has over 40 million total views and was one of YouTube’s Top 20 ‘Women to Watch’ in 2018.
I now work as a dialect coach, so I work with actors who are looking to master various accents for film, TV or stage roles, and I also work with people whose first language isn’t English and are looking to modify their accent and gain a more British sound to their voice.
I studied English and Drama at Royal Holloway- University of London, and from a young age I worked on my voice and was intrigued by experimenting with my voice and accents. You could describe me as an accents nerd, and having worked briefly in the acting industry myself, I have first-hand experience of how important it is to be confident and comfortable with the accent you are performing in.
I believe the process of learning a new accent should be grounded in a solid understanding of the phonetic characteristics of the accent, as well as its unique cadence, oral posture, pitch, and becoming comfortable with the way the accent inhabits you. Mastering a new accent is in essence like gaining a new voice!
With my presenting experience I can teach you the ability to access parts of your own voice that you may not know even existed. Whether you are an English learner wishing to sound more British or an actor looking to learn a particular accent and nail that audition, I can help you.

Sarah Spalton – British Accent Coach
Hi everyone, I'm Sarah.
I have been working as an English language professional since 2008. I started my teaching career in Spain and I am a fluent Spanish speaker. I completed my Master’s in Applied Linguistics at the University of Nottingham and I also have a DELTA qualification (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages). I worked for the University of Liverpool for many years, and I also worked for University College London on their English for Academic Purposes programmes. I now specialise in teaching pronunciation to international learners.
I have always been interested in accents and pronunciation training, having grown up in Liverpool around a strong regional accent. I recognise that being able to soften, neutralise, or modify an accent can open doors professionally, socially and personally. I am particularly interested in the rhythm of English and how intonation can help to convey subtle nuance in meaning when speaking.
I studied English Literature at undergraduate level and have always loved how different sorts of texts like poems, short stories and prose can be brought to life when read aloud effectively. I really enjoy helping students get to grips with the sounds of English to become more confident and accurate communicators in their chosen field.
I look forward to helping you with your pronunciation to achieve the accent that you want.

Rachel Hammond – British Accent Coach
Hi, I'm Rachel and I work at British Accent Coaching, helping students from all over the world learn more about pronunciation. I have been teaching for 10 years and have a Master's in Linguistics. I have experience teaching students from many different countries and backgrounds. I am fluent in Spanish and also speak some Italian, Portuguese and French, so I understand how challenging it can be to learn the sounds of a new language, especially when they don't exist in your mother tongue!
My favourite part of teaching pronunciation is working on linking sounds with students so that they can hear the sounds of the language come together, just like native speakers do - this always helps you sound more natural!
I can help you be more confident with your pronunciation so that you can be understood clearly and don't feel so nervous while speaking!
